Egyptian PM, Tajik diplomat discuss cooperation issues

DUSHANBE, November 11, 2015, Asia-Plus – On Tuesday November 10, Tajik Ambassador to Egypt Khusrav Noziri held talks in Cairo with Egyptian Prime Minister Sherif Ismail.

According to the Tajik MFA information department, they discussed state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Egypt.

Tajik diplomat reportedly noted that cooperation with Egypt was one of priorities of Tajikistan’s foreign policy.

For his part, Sherif Ismail expressed hope that bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries would expand in the future as well.

Egyptian PM reportedly outlined sectors like energy, tourism, industry, and agriculture, as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between Egypt and Tajikistan.

Khusrav Noziri and Sherif Ismail also discussed a number of regional and international issues being of mutual interest, the source said.

The Prime Minister of Egypt is the head of the Egyptian government.  The prime minister heads the cabinet, which in turn plays a leading role in shaping the agenda of the houses of Parliament.  It may propose laws to Parliament as well as amendments during parliamentary meetings.
