KHUJAND, August 7, 2010, Asia-Plus  -- Dehqon Karimov, a lead specialist with the Konibodom education department, was detained on August 5 on suspicion of having been involved in bribery, according to the Sughd police directorate.

Karimov was caught red-handed when he was taking a 1,220 somoni bribe from local resident H.Y. for counterfeit school leaving certificate, the source said, noting that Karimov was convicted in 2005 for fraud (Article 247 (2) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code).
