Dushanbe. 2 September. “Asia Plus” -- Politician and statesman of Tajikistan of 80-90`s Khikmatullo Nasriddinov proposes to establish a monument to the President Emomali Rahmon in Dushanbe and assign him the title of Hero of Tajikistan again.

According to the politician, E. Rakhmon headed Tajikistan during the civil war that threatened country's disappearance from the political map of the world. "In that distant autumn of 1992, when in Khujand held the 16th session of the Supreme Council of Tajikistan, historical session for the country, I, as a deputy, have observed that many experienced politicians of the time did not want to take the leadership of the country, while Emomali Rakhmon agreed take the heavy burden of governing the country, then said, "I will bring peace and harmony to Tajikistan," - said in an interview to "Asia-Plus" H.Nasriddinov.

The politician is convinced that today no one can deny the merits of Rakhmon in raising the international image of Tajikistan, the socio-economic development of the country, addressing global issues of the world and regional policy.

Recall that now only six Tajiks were awarded the highest award of the Republic - the title of Hero of Tajikistan. By Presidential decrees this price was posthumously awarded to the founder of modern Tajik literature Sadriddin Aini; academician, historian Bobojon Gafurov; poet Mirzo Tursunzade; politicians stood at the cradle of education of the Tajik USSR Shirinsho Shotemur and Nusratullo Makhsum.
