Tajik rescuers have saved 50 drowning people since the beginning of the year

Headquarters’ Staff of the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the government of Tajikistan in Sughd region have pulled out, 23-year-old man of the water today, who nearly drowned while swimming in Syr Darya river in Khujand.

According to her, at the end of last week, the staff of the Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defence has rescued three drowning people in the water. So, employees of CES Staff in Sughd have rescued a 16-year-old boy who began to sink, while swimming in the local reservoir, located on the territory of Kanibadam city. After a while, at the same place, a 33-year-old local woman was saved by the headquarters’ staff.

A sinking 19-year-old young man was pulled from Syr Darya River by the Headquarters’ staff. The first medical aid was provided to all the victims, but all of them have refused of the hospitalization.

Since the beginning of the year the staff of CES has saved 50 people in the reservoirs of the country.

Committee of Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of RT once again urges citizens to be careful while resting and swimming, to follow safety rules near the rivers, canals, ponds and reservoirs, be vigilant while swimming, and do it only in officially approved places equipped with rescue posts, do not go into the water while alcohol intoxication and do not leave children unattended near the water.
