DUSHANBE, August 17, 2016, Asia-Plus – The Tojik Sodirot Bonk (TSB) crisis administration has denied information that the head of the TSB department for labor protection, civil defense and fire safety, Abdulmumin Oyev, was beaten by the caretaker chairman Mirhayot Yoqubov as “baseless.”

“The bank temporary administration did not use violent acts against Oyev,” says a statement posted on TSB’s official website.

The statement, in particular, notes that it has been established that hidden camera was allegedly installed in one of fire alarm sensors.

“In this connection, the TSN temporary administration intends to apply to the law enforcement authorities in order to prevent illegal acts and bring persons involved in that case to justice,” the statement says.

Recall that Abdulmumin Oyev, who is currently in a hospital, told Asia-Plus yesterday that he was beaten by the caretaker head Mirhayot Yoqubov.   According to him, he reported Yoqubov’s alleged attacks, attempted murder and slander to the State Committee for National Security (SCNS).

Oyev says he was summoned to the office of Qurbonali Doustov, the head of the TSB security department, on August 8 after 5:00 pm.

“There were already nine people, six of whom were members of the TSB temporary administration, including Yoqubov and three former bank employees. I didn’t know why they had called me.  All the people there began to look at some wires and talk between themselves.  The head of the temporary administration, Mirhayot Yoqubov, came up to me and began to beat me and choke me — I almost died. Nobody there tried to stop him. They just watched me as he beat me. Mirhayot Yoqubov accused me of supposedly installing a bug and even miniature video cameras in his office to listen in on him,” Oyev said.

Oyev then went on to say that Yoqubov’s bodyguard, Safar, took him into a men’s toilet and locked him inside.  From there, Oyev claims to have called his son and pleaded for help, at which Safar opened the door and snatched away the telephone.  The son, who happens by chance to have former been Mirhayot Yoqubov’s teacher, did later turn up, however, bringing the whole charade to a close.

Oyev denies he installed any listening devices in Yoqubov’s office.  According to him, the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) has proven his innocence and it has been established that he did not install bugs and mini video cameras in the crisis administration head’s office.

The 63-year-old Abdulmumin Oyev says he had a nervous breakdown and he is currently undergoing medical treatment in the hospital.

Meanwhile, quoting one of TSB employees, who wanted to remain anonymous, online news outlet TojNews reports that mini video cameras are part of the security system of each bank in the country.  The crisis administration head did not know this due to lack of experiences and supposed that he is being shadowed.

Mirhayot Yoqubov, 32, graduated from Tajik National University.  He was appointed to head the crisis administration at Tojik Sodirot Bonk in mid-May.  Before that, he served as the head of the department for international transactions at the National Bank of Tajikistan.
