Uzbek air company to transport cargoes to Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, December 27, Asia-Plus  -- Uzbekistan’s air carrier Samarkand Airways in cooperation with Universal Mobility Solutions (UMS) is going to conduct regular charter shipping operations Tashkent-Dushanbe-Tashkent in 2008, Asia-Plus has learned from the UMS sales department in Tashkent. 

The charter shipping operations are expected to be launched next March and cargoes will be transported by transport planes AN-26s and IL-76s, the source at the UMS sales department said.

Universal Mobility Solutions is the aviation company specializing in aircraft services.  The company was established in April, 2005.  Being the owner of Samarkand Airways UMS does provide airline representation and airport station management.  Universal Mobility Solutions is an assigned Representative of Cargolux Airlines International S.A in Uzbekistan. 

In accordance with Operations and representation Agreement signed between Cargolux and Universal Mobility Solutions the company handles all Cargolux flights into Tashkent Intl Airport. All staff of Universal Mobility Solutions involved in handling, is duly trained by Cargolux Airlines International S.A.   

Air communications between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan was cut off on May 15, 1992 and it has not yet been restored.
